Olyres

Terms of Service

Version:
1.3
Effective date:

1. This agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pro Technology INC., operating under the “Olyres” name (“Olyres,” “we,” “us” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the Olyres website, résumé builder and editor, ATS analysis, LinkedIn audit, cover-letter tools, job-application tracker, document exports, AI-assisted features and related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of your relationship with us; it is not a separate contractual obligation you owe us.

We record which version of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy you accepted, when you accepted them, and where the acceptance was collected (account creation or checkout). You can see the current versions at the top of this page and of the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding contract. The Service is not intended for children. You may not use the Service if we have previously terminated your account.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your account

Accounts are created either by signing in with a supported identity provider — currently Google or Microsoft — or by registering with an email address and a password. Where you set a password, it is held only by our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication, in hashed form; Olyres never receives or stores it. Keeping your sign-in credentials secure is your responsibility, and you are responsible for activity that occurs through your Olyres account.

One account is for one person. Do not share credentials, sell access, or let others use your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Consent to receive marketing or product-update email is optional, is asked for separately from these Terms, is never required to create an account, and can be withdrawn at any time in your account settings.

4. The Service and plans

Olyres is offered on two tiers.

Olyres Free

Free of charge, with limits enforced in the product: up to 10 saved résumés, 1 complete AI-generated cover letter per monthly cycle (there is no limit on keeping or editing cover letters you have already created), and 2 résumé templates with unlimited PDF downloads.

Free accounts also include limited monthly usage of the AI-assisted parts of the Service — ATS résumé and job-description scans, AI résumé improvements, enhancement and verification runs, revealed missing skills and other skill insights, résumé parsing and import, and the supporting AI calls behind those features. Where a limit is relevant to you we show it in the product, and the pricing page describes what each plan includes. This section sets out the main Free-tier allowances; it is not a complete list of every limit that applies.

Olyres Pro

Removes the Free-tier limits described above, both the numeric allowances and the monthly limits on AI-assisted usage, subject to the fair-use rules in section 9 and to our right under this section and section 9 to change what a plan includes, and unlocks every template, the complete set of ATS findings and missing skills, full AI-assisted improvements, job-specific tailoring, full version history and expanded job tracking. Pro can be bought in three ways, all of which grant exactly the same features:

  • 7-Day Pro Pass — $9.99, charged once. Grants Pro for 7 days from purchase and does not renew. When the 7 days end, your account returns to Olyres Free automatically, with no further charge and nothing to cancel.
  • Pro Monthly — $19.99 per month, renewing automatically each month until cancelled.
  • Pro Quarterly — $49.99 every three months, renewing automatically every three months until cancelled.

Prices are shown on the pricing page and confirmed on the checkout page before you pay; the amount and currency displayed at checkout is what you will be charged, plus any taxes shown there. If you subscribed to the retired Starter plan before Olyres moved to two tiers, your subscription and price continue unchanged and your account receives Pro features.

Changes to the Service. We may add, modify, suspend, disable, discontinue or remove any feature, function, template, integration or part of the Service, or make it available only on a different plan, at any time, without prior notice to you and without any advance notice posted on the Olyres website, portal, or application. Where such a change is a material reduction as defined in section 18, section 18 applies.

5. Payment, renewal and price changes

Payments are processed by Stripe. You provide your card or other payment details directly to Stripe; Olyres does not receive or store full payment card numbers. Your use of Stripe’s checkout is also subject to Stripe’s own terms.

Before checkout you are shown the plan, the price, the billing frequency and the renewal and cancellation rules, and you must confirm you accept them. We record that acceptance separately from your acceptance of these Terms.

Automatic renewal. Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price for your plan, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. By buying one of these recurring plans you authorize Olyres and our payment processor to charge that payment method the subscription fee for your plan, together with any taxes that apply, on each renewal date, and to keep doing so at each renewal until you cancel as described in section 6. The 7-Day Pro Pass is a single one-time charge: it never renews, nothing is charged again, and there is nothing to cancel.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it through Stripe and may suspend or downgrade Pro features until payment succeeds.

Price changes. We may change prices. A change to the price of a renewing plan will not apply to you until a renewal after we have given you notice, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not accept the new price.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties or bank charges that apply to your purchase and are not collected at checkout.

6. Cancellation and what happens after

You can cancel a renewing Pro subscription at any time from Account Settings. Cancelling before your next renewal date stops that renewal charge. Cancellation does not end your access immediately: it takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, unless the law that applies to you requires otherwise. Your Pro features continue until then, and your account moves to Olyres Free after that.

Cancellation works forwards, not backwards. It does not cancel, reverse or refund billing periods that have already been charged, and cancelling after a renewal has been taken does not undo that renewal. Refunds are dealt with separately in section 7.

The 7-Day Pro Pass cannot be cancelled because it does not renew — it simply expires after 7 days.

Your work is not deleted when Pro ends. Returning to Olyres Free does not remove your résumés, cover letters or tracked applications. Free-tier limits apply again to creating new items, and premium templates stop being available for new use. For 7 days after Pro access ends you can still export résumés that are already using a premium template, so finished work is not trapped behind the paywall. After that window, only exporting such a résumé is blocked — you can still open, view and edit it, and switching it to one of the free templates or renewing Pro restores export immediately.

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not itself cancel a Stripe subscription — cancel first, or contact us.

7. Refunds

Charges are for the billing period they cover. Because cancellation keeps your access running to the end of the period you have paid for, cancelling part-way through a period does not generate a partial refund or a pro-rated credit for the unused days, and unused monthly allowances do not carry over or convert to money.

Not using the Service is not by itself grounds for a refund. Not logging in during a period you paid for, not using the features included in your plan, or forgetting to cancel before a renewal does not on its own entitle you to a refund of that period. If you were charged for a renewal you did not intend, contact us: we will consider the request under this section and under the law that applies to you.

Statutory rights come first. Nothing here limits any refund, withdrawal or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies to you, or your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer or bank. Where such a right applies, it overrides this section.

Our refund practice. Beyond those rights, you may request a refund of a Pro Monthly or Pro Quarterly charge within 2 calendar days of the start of the billing period it covers, provided you have not used the paid service during that billing period. Using a Pro feature in the period — running a scan, generating or revising a letter, using an AI action in the editor, or exporting a premium template — means that period is no longer refundable. Ask us using the details in section 21, and tell us which charge you mean.

Where we approve a refund, we may reduce it by a processing and administration fee of up to 10% of the amount charged, to cover payment-processing costs we do not get back. The 7-Day Pro Pass is non-refundable once purchased: it is a short one-off pass that grants access immediately.

Cancelling is not the same as asking for a refund. Cancellation stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have already paid for; it does not by itself create a refund of that period. Outside the window above we may still refund a charge, in whole or in part, where we consider it appropriate — for example after a billing error or a significant service failure — but that is a decision we make case by case, not an automatic entitlement.

8. AI-assisted features and AI output

Several parts of the Service use a third-party AI provider to generate suggestions, rewrites, summaries, scores, cover letters and similar output. When you use one of these features, the content needed for it — such as your résumé text, a job description, a LinkedIn profile you paste in, or your instructions — is sent to that provider to produce the result. Which provider we use and exactly what is sent is described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy. Before your first AI action in the résumé editor we show you a notice explaining this, and you choose whether to continue.

AI output can be wrong. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, generic or simply unsuitable for the role you are applying to. It is a draft for you to judge, not advice and not a finished document. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting everything before you send it to an employer, and you — not Olyres — are responsible for what you submit.

Do not use AI features to fabricate facts. You must not ask Olyres to invent or inflate employment history, education, credentials, certifications, security clearances, licences, achievements or metrics, and you must not knowingly keep such content in a document you send to an employer.

We do not promise any particular result. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Olyres does not guarantee that any résumé, cover letter, export, document or other content created with, generated by or exported from the Service will be accepted, received, opened, processed, parsed, read, scored, ranked, shortlisted, considered or approved by any employer, recruiter, hiring manager, staffing agency, job board, applicant tracking system or other hiring platform, or that it will reach a human reviewer at all. Olyres likewise does not guarantee any interview, job offer, job, hire, placement, promotion, salary increase, contract, response from a recruiter or employer, or any other employment or career outcome. How a document is handled is decided by the employer, platform or system receiving it, under their own criteria and with their own software, and is outside our control. ATS scores and audits are our own estimates and are not produced or endorsed by any employer or ATS vendor.

AI systems can produce similar output for different users from similar inputs. We do not claim the output you receive is unique, and we cannot promise that comparable text has not been generated for someone else.

9. Usage limits and fair use

Free-tier allowances are described in section 4 and are enforced automatically. Section 4 sets out the main allowances rather than every limit that applies: operational limits also protect the Service, our infrastructure and the third-party AI providers behind it, and these are not published. Reaching a storage limit blocks new saves; it never deletes anything you have already saved. Monthly allowances reset once a month on your cycle date: on Olyres Free, the day of the month you signed up; on an Olyres Pro subscription, your billing date. If an AI request fails, we do not count it against your allowance.

Olyres Pro is described as unlimited in the sense that it removes those Free-tier caps, not in the sense that no limit of any kind applies. It is subject to fair use: it is intended for one person’s own job search. Automated or scripted use, resale of output, bulk generation, sharing an account across multiple people, or usage far beyond what an individual job seeker plausibly needs are not fair use. Where we believe usage is unfair or abusive we will normally contact you first, and may then rate-limit, suspend or terminate the account under section 14.

Changes to limits and allowances. We may introduce, set, change, increase, reduce, replace or remove any limit, quota, cap, allowance, rate limit or other usage restriction that applies to any plan — including introducing a limit where none applied before, and including on Olyres Pro — at any time, without prior notice to you and without any advance notice posted on the Olyres website, portal, or application. Limits and allowances shown in these Terms, on the pricing page or in the product describe the Service as it is offered at that time; they are not a promise that it will be offered on those terms in future. Where such a change is a material reduction as defined in section 18, section 18 applies.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload or process personal information about another person — including someone else’s résumé, contact details or LinkedIn profile — unless you are authorized to do so;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, malicious, or that you do not have the right to provide;
  • use the Service to create deceptive, fraudulent or fabricated employment credentials;
  • attempt to access another user’s account, content or data;
  • probe, scan, overload, disrupt or circumvent the security, rate limits, quotas or paywall of the Service;
  • scrape, crawl or use automated means to access the Service, except for standard search-engine indexing of public pages;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code, prompts or model behaviour from the Service, except where that restriction is not enforceable against you by law;
  • use the Service or its output to train, fine-tune or benchmark a competing machine-learning model or a competing product;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a service of your own;
  • misuse AI features to generate harassing, hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise abusive content, or content unrelated to career and employment purposes;
  • use the Service in violation of any applicable law, export control or sanctions rule.

11. Your content and the licence you grant

You keep ownership of the content you provide — your résumés, cover letters, job descriptions you paste in, application records, notes and instructions (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it.

You grant Olyres a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, reformat and process Your Content, and to pass the relevant parts of it to the service providers described in the Privacy Policy, strictly for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you — for example to save a draft, render a PDF, run an ATS scan, or generate an AI suggestion you asked for. This licence exists only to run the Service, ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to backups and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy), and does not permit us to publish Your Content or use it to promote Olyres.

You confirm you have the right to provide Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important; the Service is not a backup or archival service.

As between you and Olyres, output generated for you by an AI feature is yours to use, and to the extent we hold any rights in it we assign them to you. Be aware that AI output may not be protectable by copyright in some jurisdictions, and that the same or similar output may be generated for other users.

12. Olyres intellectual property

The Service itself — including the software, résumé and cover-letter templates, scoring and analysis logic, prompts, design, text, and the Olyres name and logo — is owned by Pro Technology INC. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service and to use documents you produce with it, including commercially, for your own job search.

That right does not let you copy, redistribute or resell the templates or the Service itself, or use our branding without permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or payment to you.

13. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including your sign-in provider, our payment processor, our hosting and database providers, and our AI provider. It may also link to job boards, employer sites or other external services. We are not responsible for third-party services, including any degradation, downtime, outage, delay, error or discontinuation of a third-party service we depend on, their content, or their terms and privacy practices, and your use of them is governed by their own agreements with you.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this includes any loss, deletion, corruption or alteration of data or content; any failure to store, save, back up, retrieve or return content; any failure, incompleteness or delay in processing, generating, analysing or exporting content; any stored content that becomes temporarily or permanently unavailable, inaccessible or unrecoverable; and any outage, downtime, delay, interruption, degradation, error or failure — in each case caused by or arising from a hosting, infrastructure, database, storage, authentication or sign-in, AI or model, payment, email or other messaging, cloud or other backend provider we use, or from a loss of connectivity between us and any of them.

Any resulting delay, error, degradation or unavailability of the Service is subject to the disclaimers and limitation of liability in sections 15 and 16. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, and except where a refund is expressly provided for under section 7, the events described in this section do not entitle you to compensation, damages, reimbursement, service credits or a refund. Nothing in this section limits any non-excludable right or remedy you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; see section 6 for how that interacts with a paid subscription.

We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms — in particular sections 10 and 9 — if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create a security, legal or fraud risk. Where the circumstances reasonably allow it, we will give you notice and, for a curable breach, an opportunity to fix it first.

If we terminate a paid account for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the period you have already paid for. If we terminate for your breach, no refund is due except where consumer law requires one.

We may also discontinue the Service as a whole. If we do, we will give reasonable notice, a reasonable opportunity to export your content, and a refund of any prepaid period you cannot use.

Sections 11 (as to rights already granted), 12, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20 survive termination.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except for warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

In particular, and without limiting section 8: we do not warrant that ATS scores, audits, keyword matches or AI output are accurate, current or suitable for any particular application, that the Service will be available without interruption, or that any employment outcome will follow from using it. Olyres does not provide legal, immigration, financial or professional career advice.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and you may have rights that these Terms cannot remove.

16. Limitation of liability

Olyres provides résumé-building, career, ATS-analysis and AI-assisted productivity tools. As set out in sections 8 and 15, we do not guarantee employment, an interview, a job offer, any ATS score or ranking, any salary, or any response from a recruiter or employer, and we do not guarantee that AI-generated or automated analysis, suggestions or recommendations are accurate, complete or suitable for your circumstances. You decide whether to use any generated content, analysis, recommendation or résumé change, and you remain responsible for reviewing it before you rely on it or send it to anyone.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Olyres will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of employment or of an employment opportunity, loss of salary or income, loss of profits or revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data, or business interruption — however caused, on any theory of liability, and whether or not we were advised that such loss was possible.

For liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the total amount you actually paid Olyres in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

This section applies to claims, demands, disputes, settlements, arbitrations, proceedings and court actions, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or any other theory. It applies from the moment a claim or demand is made and does not depend on court proceedings having been started.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — or any non-excludable right or remedy you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Pro Technology INC. and its officers, employees and agents from third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, content you provided that you had no right to provide, or credentials or statements you submitted to an employer that were false. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence. We will notify you of any such claim and you may control its defence, provided any settlement that imposes an obligation on us needs our agreement.

18. Changes to these Terms and to the Service

We may update these Terms. When we do, we publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date. Changes are not retroactive.

What counts as a material reduction. In these Terms a material reduction means a change that, taken as a whole, significantly reduces the features, functionality, limits or allowances a paid plan provides, judged objectively rather than by any one subscriber’s particular use. Adding features, raising limits, fixing defects, routine maintenance, security and anti-abuse measures, changes that affect only Olyres Free, changes to a feature that is a minor or incidental part of a paid plan, and changes to the third-party providers or models behind a feature where the feature itself continues to work are not material reductions.

Notice. For a change to these Terms that materially affects your rights or obligations, and for a material reduction to a paid plan whether or not the text of these Terms changes, we will give you reasonable advance notice — by email or in the product — before it takes effect, and where appropriate we will ask you to accept the new version. Any other change, including any change to features, limits, quotas or allowances that is not a material reduction, may take effect without prior notice to you and without any advance notice posted on the Olyres website, portal, or application.

If you do not accept a material change. A material reduction will not apply to a renewing paid plan until your first renewal after we have given you that notice, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not accept it; the cancellation rules in section 6 then apply as normal. A material reduction will not apply for the remainder of a 7-Day Pro Pass you have already bought. For any other material change, your remedy is to stop using the Service and cancel. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of the Province of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the province, state or country where you live, and where the law applicable to you gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that right is unaffected. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us using the details in section 21 so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

20. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the billing terms you accept at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Olyres about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and that provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.

Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship. Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account or shown in the product.

Events beyond our reasonable control. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Olyres is not liable for any failure, delay, interruption or degradation of the Service caused by an event beyond our reasonable control. Those events include failures of the internet, telecommunications networks, power or other utilities; failures, outages or discontinuation of cloud, hosting or other infrastructure providers; cyberattacks, denial-of-service attacks, malicious code and widespread network or routing failures; acts or orders of government, regulators or courts, changes in law, embargoes and sanctions; strikes and other labour disputes; epidemics and public-health measures; fire, flood, storm, earthquake and other natural disasters; war, terrorism and civil unrest; and failures of third-party services of the kind described in section 13. Where such an event occurs we will make reasonable efforts to restore the Service. This paragraph does not affect any non-excludable right or remedy you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
