What you can do

Everything the ATS Checker covers, in one pass.

Match your resume to a job description

Paste any job description and see how closely your resume lines up, section by section.

Find missing keywords

See the skills and terms the role asks for that your resume does not mention yet.

Improve weak wording

Get AI suggestions that sharpen how your real experience reads, without adding anything you did not do.

Catch formatting risks

Flags tables, columns, and section structures that are hard for automated screening to parse.

Work from a saved resume

Run the check against a resume you already saved in Olyres, or upload one on the spot.

Export once you are done

Take what you learn into the Resume Builder and export a clean, ATS-ready PDF.

Why compare against the job description

Recruiters search their applicant tracking system with the words from their own posting, so the question that matters is not whether your resume is good in general, but whether it shows what this employer asked for. Comparing against the real job description answers that, and lets you fix the gaps before you apply instead of guessing after a rejection. To learn how the system reads your file in the first place, see how an ATS resume scanner parses your resume; to understand the number you get back, see what a good ATS score is.

How it works

Three steps from resume to results.

  1. 1

    Add your resume

Upload a resume or pick one you already saved in Olyres.

  2. 2

    Paste the job description

Drop in the posting you are applying to so the check is specific to that role.

  3. 3

    Review your score and fixes

See your match score, missing keywords, and AI suggestions for tightening your wording.

    Consultative discovery

Résumé: “Contacted prospective customers and arranged discovery meetings.”

  • Missing

    MEDDICC

Kept as a gap. No evidence of MEDDICC methodology in résumé; sales approach not described.

Formatting: No email address found — ATS cannot route the application. Only 129 words — too thin for ATS keyword matching. No phone number found in the contact block.

Improvements applied

Before

  • Contacted prospective customers and arranged discovery meetings.
  • Prepared quotations and followed up on proposals.

After

Contacted prospective customers to arrange discovery meetings and prepared quotations with follow-up on proposals

Merged bullets 1 and 2 to eliminate sequential duplication; both describe the same sales cycle phase (prospecting through proposal follow-up) and can be combined without loss of meaning.

Olyres also suggested rewrites for the current role and the summary. They were not applied because they described the accounts as "enterprise" and the work as "consultative", which the résumé does not show.

How the score works

Olyres first splits the job description into individual requirements and checks each one against your resume, line by line. Each requirement is marked Matched (the resume states it or clearly shows it), Likely (the resume points toward it without showing it outright) or Missing. The score out of 100 then weighs:

  • Requirements stated in the posting’s own words40%
  • Requirements shown in different words (a synonym, acronym or more specific skill)12%
  • Closely related wording10%
  • Part of a requirement’s phrase covered5%
  • Requirements the résumé points toward without showing3%
  • Experience relevance20%
  • Formatting10%

This is Olyres’s assessment, not an employer’s ATS score or a prediction of interview success. Results depend on the resume and job description provided.

Why Olyres

An ATS score means little on its own. Olyres pairs the score with the reasons behind it and a way to act on them.

  • Matched to the job, not generic advice

Olyres reads the job description you provide and checks your resume against that specific role, not a one-size-fits-all checklist.

  • AI that improves, never invents

Wording suggestions sharpen how your real experience reads. Olyres does not add roles, skills, or achievements you did not provide.

  • One workflow, not three tools

Check your score, fix your resume, and export the result in the same connected flow instead of copying text between separate apps.

Frequently asked questions

Is ATS Check free to use?

Yes. Olyres Free includes 2 ATS scans per month. Olyres Pro removes that monthly cap.

Can I see every keyword my résumé is missing?

Olyres Free always shows how many requirements are missing and names the first 5. Olyres Pro reveals the complete list for every scan.

Does Olyres use AI, and will it invent experience or skills?

Olyres uses AI to read résumés and job descriptions, suggest stronger wording, and draft cover letters. It never adds roles, employers, certifications, projects or skills you did not provide. When a job asks for a skill your résumé does not show, Olyres asks you whether you have it before writing anything about it. Say no and it stays a gap. Always review a suggestion before you apply it — only keep wording that is true for you.

What does Generate AI Improvements do in the ATS Check?

After a scan, Generate AI Improvements rewrites your summary and experience bullets so they show the job's missing requirements more clearly — but only where your résumé already has experience to support it. You review each suggestion and apply or skip it. Alongside the rewrites, Experience Verification helps with the requirements the AI cannot see in your résumé: Skills to Confirm asks you directly, for example "Have you used Salesforce in your work?". Answer yes and the next Generate can work it into the role it fits best. Answer no and it is left out of every suggestion.; Skills Found in Your Experience lists skills your described work suggests you have, each with a confidence level. Add the ones that are true for you.. Applying suggestions does not change your score by itself. Press Refresh Score to re-score the résumé with your changes — on Olyres Free that uses one of your monthly scans. Pressing Generate again on the same résumé and job description shows the results you already have, at no cost. Run Deep Re-analysis asks for a fresh set and counts as a new run.

Will AI change my résumé without asking?

No. Every suggestion is shown next to your current wording, and nothing changes until you choose it — Accept rewrite, Apply replacement or Merge in the Resume Builder, Apply in the ATS Check. Keep current, Keep separate, Skip and Dismiss leave your text as it is. An accepted summary rewrite or a merge can be undone straight away, and in the ATS Check each applied improvement has its own Undo, plus Undo All.
