Question 1

What is Olyres?

Accepted Answer

Olyres is a set of job-search tools in one place: a Resume Builder with PDF export, an ATS Check that compares your résumé with a specific job description, AI cover letters, a LinkedIn Review and a Job Tracker. Every tool works from the same saved résumé, so you can build, check and improve it without copying text between apps.

Question 2

Do I need an account to use Olyres?

Accepted Answer

You can read this Help Center, our guides, résumé examples and pricing without an account. Building, saving and scanning a résumé needs a free Olyres account. Signing up takes under a minute and does not ask for payment details.

Question 3

What can I do for free?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Free includes: Save and edit up to 10 resumes; 2 professional ATS-friendly resume templates; Download unlimited PDFs using the free templates; 1 complete AI cover letter each month; Basic resume and job-description scans with limited monthly usage; See your full ATS score and total number of issues; Review a useful sample of ATS issues and missing skills; Try limited AI improvements.

Question 4

Can I upload an existing résumé?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload a PDF or Word (.doc or .docx) file in the Resume Builder or the ATS Check. Olyres reads its sections — contact details, summary, experience, education and skills — and you can review and edit everything before you save. You can also paste plain text, or start from a blank template.

Question 5

Can I download or export my résumé as a PDF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan can download PDFs. On Olyres Free, PDF downloads are unlimited with the 2 templates included in Free; Olyres Pro adds every other template.

Question 6

Does Olyres use AI, and will it invent experience or skills?

Accepted Answer

Olyres uses AI to read résumés and job descriptions, suggest stronger wording, and draft cover letters. It never adds roles, employers, certifications, projects or skills you did not provide. When a job asks for a skill your résumé does not show, Olyres asks you whether you have it before writing anything about it. Say no and it stays a gap. Always review a suggestion before you apply it — only keep wording that is true for you.

Question 7

Which features require a paid plan?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is locked away completely on Free — you can build, save, export, scan and write cover letters. Olyres Pro removes the monthly caps and unlocks the parts Free only samples: Every résumé template (Free includes 2 templates); The full list of missing skills in every ATS scan (Free shows up to 5); Unlimited ATS scans, saved résumés and AI cover letters, subject to fair use; Full AI-assisted improvements and job-specific tailoring; AI analysis in the LinkedIn Review (Free gets the instant rule-based review).

Question 8

What do I get with Pro?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Pro includes everything in Free, plus the following. 7-Day Pro Pass, Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly all unlock exactly the same features — they only differ in how you pay. Unlimited resumes and cover letters, subject to fair use; Every resume and cover-letter template; Complete ATS findings; All missing and matched skills; Full AI-assisted improvements; Job-specific resume tailoring; Generous AI usage; Full version history; Expanded job tracking; Priority support.

Question 9

What is the difference between Monthly, Quarterly and the 7-Day Pass?

Accepted Answer

Only the billing. Each option unlocks the same Olyres Pro features. 7-Day Pro Pass — $9.99 one-time. One-time payment. No automatic renewal.; Pro Monthly — $19.99 per month. Renews automatically each month. Cancel anytime.; Pro Quarterly — $49.99 every 3 months. Equivalent to about $16.66/month. Renews automatically every three months. Save about 17%..

Question 10

How does the 7-Day Pass work?

Accepted Answer

The 7-Day Pro Pass is a single $9.99 payment for 7 days of full Olyres Pro access, starting when you buy it. It never renews and you are never charged again. When the 7 days end, your account returns to Olyres Free automatically. Nothing you made is deleted. The one Pro allowance that is counted differently on the Pass: the LinkedIn Review includes 5 AI analyses for the whole Pass, versus 15 per month on Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly.

Question 11

What are the usage limits, and when do they reset?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Free includes, each month: 2 ATS scans; 1 AI cover letter; 5 AI résumé reviews; 2 AI Improvements runs in the ATS Check; Up to 10 saved résumés at any time (this is a storage limit, so it does not reset); The first 5 missing skills in each ATS scan; A limited allowance of AI help behind the scenes, such as reading an uploaded résumé. Monthly allowances reset every month on the day you signed up (UTC). Olyres Pro has no monthly caps, subject to fair use.

Question 12

What happens when I reach my Free limit?

Accepted Answer

Olyres tells you which allowance is used up and the date it resets. Everything you already made stays: you can still open, edit and download your résumés and letters. At the 10 saved résumés limit, a new save is refused — Olyres never deletes a résumé to make room. Delete one you no longer need, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited résumés. Reopening a scan you already ran on an unchanged résumé and job description does not use another scan.

Question 13

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly can be cancelled at any time from Account Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, then move to Olyres Free. The 7-Day Pro Pass never renews, so there is nothing to cancel. If you were using a Pro-only template, you can keep downloading that résumé for 7 days after Pro ends. After that you can still open and edit it, or switch it to a Free template and download again.

Question 14

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly can be cancelled at any time from Account Settings; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and cancelling does not refund that period. You can request a refund of a monthly or quarterly charge within 2 calendar days of the start of the billing period it covers, provided you have not used a Pro feature in that period. Where we approve a refund, we may reduce it by a processing and administration fee of up to 10%. Outside that window we may still refund a charge, in whole or in part, where we consider it appropriate — for example after a billing error or a significant service failure — but that is decided case by case and is not automatic. The 7-Day Pro Pass does not renew and is non-refundable once purchased. None of this limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

Question 15

Is the Resume Builder free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free accounts can save up to 10 saved résumés and use 2 templates ATS-friendly templates at no cost. Olyres Pro unlocks every template and removes the save limit.

Question 16

Which templates are ATS-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Olyres offers 14 templates in total: 9 designed to parse cleanly through applicant tracking systems, and 5 creative options best suited for direct or portfolio-style applications. 2 of the ATS-friendly ones are included in Olyres Free.

Question 17

Can I import a résumé I already have instead of starting from scratch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Import an existing résumé or start from a blank template. Either way, you land in the same editor with a live preview and AI guidance.

Question 18

How does the Resume Builder connect to the ATS Check?

Accepted Answer

The Resume Builder and the ATS Check work from the same saved résumé, so you can build a section, then check how it scores against a job description without re-uploading anything.

Question 19

How does ATS Check work, and what does the score mean?

Accepted Answer

Add your résumé and the job description. Olyres reads the posting into a list of requirements — skills, tools, certifications, languages and duties — checks each one against your résumé, and gives a score out of 100 for how well this résumé matches this job. The score is about fit for one specific posting, not a grade for your résumé in general: the same résumé can score high for one job and low for another. The report shows which requirements you meet, which are likely, which are missing, and what to change.

Question 20

How is my ATS score calculated?

Accepted Answer

The score is out of 100. Up to 70 points come from how many of the job's requirements your résumé covers, up to 20 from how relevant your experience is to the role, and up to 10 from formatting and readability. Within the 70 requirement points, stronger evidence earns more: a requirement stated in your own words counts most, one backed by clear related experience counts less, and one that is only similar or likely counts least. A job title alone never counts as evidence — what you describe doing does.

Question 21

What’s the difference between exact and similar matches?

Accepted Answer

An exact match means your résumé states the requirement itself — the same words, a common abbreviation (such as "CRM" for customer relationship management), or another form of them ("managed budgets" for budget management). These show as "In résumé" and earn the most credit. A similar match ("Similar wording") means your résumé says something close in meaning but not the same thing. It earns less, because a recruiter or ATS searching for the posting's exact term may not find it. If the requirement is genuinely part of your experience, using the posting's own wording is the most reliable way to turn a similar match into an exact one.

Question 22

Why did my score change?

Accepted Answer

A score only changes when a new scan runs. Common reasons: You edited the résumé, or applied suggestions and pressed Refresh Score; You scanned against a different or edited job description — each posting has its own requirements; A requirement moved between "Likely" and "In résumé" after the extra check that runs on unclear requirements.

Question 23

What does Refresh Score do?

Accepted Answer

Refresh Score re-scores your résumé with the improvements you applied included, against the same job description. On Olyres Free it uses one of your 2 ATS scans for the month. It is only available when there is something new to score. It stays greyed out if you have not applied anything since the last score, undid your changes, already refreshed, or an analysis is running — hover the button to see which. Editing the résumé in the editor, or changing the job description, needs a new analysis instead.

Question 24

Is ATS Check free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Olyres Free includes 2 ATS scans per month. Olyres Pro removes that monthly cap.

Question 25

Can I see every keyword my résumé is missing?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Free always shows how many requirements are missing and names the first 5. Olyres Pro reveals the complete list for every scan.

Question 26

What does "Likely" mean in my results?

Accepted Answer

Your résumé shows related experience, but does not state the requirement clearly enough to count it as met. Likely earns partial credit. If you do have that skill, say so plainly in a bullet that describes where you used it.

Question 27

Why won’t my score reach 100%?

Accepted Answer

Adding keywords you genuinely have usually lifts a score quickly, then gains slow down. What is left tends to be real differences — skills, certifications or experience the job asks for that you do not have — plus experience relevance and formatting, which keywords alone cannot fix. A truthful résumé in the 70s often does better with a recruiter than an inflated one you cannot back up in an interview.

Question 28

Why didn’t AI fix every gap?

Accepted Answer

AI suggestions only reword experience you already have. They will not add a certification, tool, project or responsibility you have not described. A gap that remains after you apply suggestions usually means one of three things: you do not have that skill, the job wants more depth than your résumé shows (for example "10+ years" or "led teams of 50"), or the issue is formatting rather than wording.

Question 29

How can I realistically improve my score?

Accepted Answer

Work from quick wins to bigger changes: Use the posting's wording for skills you really have — in bullets, not only the Skills section; Describe where and how you used each key skill, with results where you have them; Open with a summary that reflects the role you are applying for; Keep a clean layout: standard section names, consistent dates, no tables or text in images; Address the highest-importance missing requirements first.

Question 30

What does an ATS résumé scanner actually check?

Accepted Answer

It reads your résumé and a job description together, then checks keyword and skill overlap, job title and seniority alignment, formatting and parsing risk, section completeness, and whether your achievements are backed by measurable results.

Question 31

What’s the difference between a résumé scanner and an ATS score checker?

Accepted Answer

They describe the same underlying process from two angles: scanning is the analysis step that reads and compares your résumé, while the score is the headline number that comes out of it. Olyres runs both in one pass — see the full score breakdown on the ATS Resume Checker page.

Question 32

How often should I re-scan my résumé?

Accepted Answer

Re-scan after you edit your résumé and again before every new application, since each job description brings its own set of keywords and requirements.

Question 33

Where does Olyres use AI?

Accepted Answer

AI helps in these places, and only when you ask it to: Resume Builder — reviewing your summary, improving responsibilities, strengthening achievements, merging overlapping bullets, and reading a résumé you upload; ATS Check — reading the job description into requirements, taking a second look at requirements your résumé only partly shows, Generate AI Improvements, and Skills Found in Your Experience; Cover Letter — writing a letter for a job, then Improve Opening, Strengthen Evidence, Align to Job, Make More Concise and Review Cover Letter; LinkedIn Review — the AI analysis on Olyres Pro. Some things are deliberately not AI: the guided example summaries and bullets in the Resume Builder come from a written library of examples, the Free LinkedIn Review is rule-based, and the Job Tracker only stores your applications. None of these use an AI allowance.

Question 34

What can the AI Assistant do in the Resume Builder?

Accepted Answer

Each section of the editor has an AI Assistant button. It offers: Review & Improve Summary — feedback on positioning, clarity and what sets you apart, plus a suggested rewrite you can edit, accept or dismiss; Improve Responsibilities, or Improve Selected Bullet for just one — rewrites weak bullets with clearer impact; Strengthen Achievement — makes a key achievement more specific and results-focused; Consolidate Responsibilities — finds bullets in the same role that say the same thing and offers to merge them. If you opened the résumé from an ATS Check, the summary review and bullet improvements are matched to that job description. The AI works only from what you have already written. It rewords and tightens — it does not add jobs, tools, results or skills.

Question 35

Will AI change my résumé without asking?

Accepted Answer

No. Every suggestion is shown next to your current wording, and nothing changes until you choose it — Accept rewrite, Apply replacement or Merge in the Resume Builder, Apply in the ATS Check. Keep current, Keep separate, Skip and Dismiss leave your text as it is. An accepted summary rewrite or a merge can be undone straight away, and in the ATS Check each applied improvement has its own Undo, plus Undo All.

Question 36

What does Generate AI Improvements do in the ATS Check?

Accepted Answer

After a scan, Generate AI Improvements rewrites your summary and experience bullets so they show the job's missing requirements more clearly — but only where your résumé already has experience to support it. You review each suggestion and apply or skip it. Alongside the rewrites, Experience Verification helps with the requirements the AI cannot see in your résumé: Skills to Confirm asks you directly, for example "Have you used Salesforce in your work?". Answer yes and the next Generate can work it into the role it fits best. Answer no and it is left out of every suggestion.; Skills Found in Your Experience lists skills your described work suggests you have, each with a confidence level. Add the ones that are true for you.. Applying suggestions does not change your score by itself. Press Refresh Score to re-score the résumé with your changes — on Olyres Free that uses one of your monthly scans. Pressing Generate again on the same résumé and job description shows the results you already have, at no cost. Run Deep Re-analysis asks for a fresh set and counts as a new run.

Question 37

How much AI can I use on Olyres Free?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Free includes, each month: 5 AI résumé reviews in the Resume Builder — 2 summary reviews and 3 experience reviews (improving responsibilities, strengthening achievements, or merging bullets); 2 AI Improvements runs in the ATS Check; 1 AI cover letter, with up to 10 AI edits on that letter; AI reading of up to 6 uploaded résumés. A clearly formatted résumé can often be read without AI, and a résumé that has already been read is reused — neither counts.. A wider background allowance covers the supporting AI steps, such as reading a job description. Most people never reach it. Allowances reset every month on the day you signed up (UTC). Reopening a result you already have — an unchanged summary review, scan or set of improvements — does not count again. Olyres Pro has no monthly AI caps, subject to fair use; the one exception is the LinkedIn Review's AI analysis.

Question 38

How do AI cover letters work on Free?

Accepted Answer

Olyres Free can write 1 AI cover letter a month, with up to 10 AI edits on that letter. The limit is on writing new letters — you can keep, edit and reopen as many letters as you like. Olyres Pro removes the cap, subject to fair use.

Question 39

What does the LinkedIn Review do?

Accepted Answer

Paste your LinkedIn profile text and get a review of your headline, About section and experience, with specific improvements. On Olyres Free the review is instant and rule-based, with no limit. Olyres Pro adds an AI analysis: 15 per month on Pro Monthly and Pro Quarterly, or 5 for the whole 7-Day Pro Pass. Re-running an unchanged profile shows the saved result and does not count again.

Question 40

What is the Job Tracker?

Accepted Answer

A place to keep every application — company, role, status and the job description — next to the résumé you sent. You can run an ATS scan from a tracked job; it counts toward the same monthly scans as the ATS Check.

Question 41

Is my résumé and data private and secure?

Accepted Answer

Your résumés, letters and results are tied to your account and are not visible to other users. We do not sell your personal information. To run AI features, the relevant text (for example your résumé and the job description) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which does not use it to train its models. Payments are handled by Stripe — Olyres never sees or stores your card number.

Question 42

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Go to Account Settings → Delete account. Your data is removed from our active systems as soon as you confirm; remaining copies in encrypted backups are cleared within 4 weeks. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription.

Question 43

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

Signed in, use Contact Support on this page (or in Account Settings) to open a ticket — it includes your account details, so we can help faster. Not signed in, or cannot sign in? Email support@olyres.com.
